Webbplatsernas tillgänglighet är oftast mätt både med verktyget Pa11y och Axe.

Betyget i Pa11y utgår från antalet unika fel snarare än unika typer av fel. Tanken är att dessa två ska balansera upp varandra. Det finns andra Webperf-tester som påverkar betyget i tillgänglighet, exempelvis om det finns en sidtitel och huvudrubrik på webbplatsens 404-sida.

Hur bra är automatiska tillgänglighetstester? Cirka hälften av tillgänglighetsbrister som kan förekomma på en webbplats kan upptäckas med automatiska verktyg likt de Webperf.se använder. Det tål att upprepas att automatiska tillgänglighetstester absolut inte räcker till för att veta om en webbplats är tillgänglig! Du måste komplettera med manuella tester!

Webbprestandan, alltså webbplatsens hastighet, mäts med Sitespeed.io som rapporterar genomsnittet av två anrop till startsidan, samt Google Lighthouse Performance. Internetuppkopplingen där anropen görs påverkar dessa två betyg. Anropen görs antingen från ett datacenter i Norden med 100 Mbit/s uppkoppling, alternativt från en uppkoppling på upp till 1Gbit/s via svenska Bahnhof. Dessa två tester recenserar prestanda på serversidan och hur pass prestandaoptimerat innehåll som bilder är.
Dessutom görs tester med Yellow Lab Tools som i större utsträckning utvärderar kvaliteten på hur hantverket är utfört ur webbläsarens perspektiv.
